Oddities of Cebit 2006 Part 2

Fancy an in-car MP3 player with a difference? Plug this unassuming FM transmitting device into the cars accessory socket, add a USB flash key loaded with MP3 songs, tune your car radio to the right frequency and away you go!


This years show had mini PCs scattered around like crazed bat droppings. Everyone seemed to have their own take on them. We suspect that many of the systems that we saw where nothing more than empty shells. These two examples contained Intel Core Duo chips and Viiv technology.


This “Lovers” flash disk raises the question, what exactly is one’s love to do with it? Maybe it is meant to be used in conjunction with the “My Joy” FM tuner/MP3 player?


Submersible flash drives? We’ll drink to that! Or how about a not-so-waterproof 8GB HDD?


Since we are being flash happy, here is one to take the Mickey, or a flash drive that reads flash cards!


VOIP on a flash drive. Plug in and Skype away. And the gong for most useful useless flash drive gimmick is the solar powered remaining capacity indicator.
